Outside of work, Michael is a keen cyclist and if not riding around Yorkshire is likely on two wheels somewhere in Europe. When not on the road, you might find him at Oakwell watching Barnsley Football Club. Michael is also an advocate for mental health awareness and is currently completing a degree in counselling.
